“I’m very disappointed. It was more of the same, I played very well from tee to green and only holed two putts all day,” Rahm lamented. “Until the 14th I played well, although I couldn’t make a single birdie putt. The difference between me and those at the top is those putts, although there have been many very good and very close ones.”

The Basque has been prescribing patience throughout the tournament (on Friday, his worst day, he recovered from a painful double bogey on the 2nd), and this Saturday he applied the story, more than to recover the bogey on the 6th not to be distressed to see that he did not join the festival of birdies that became the Northern Irish links taking advantage of the improved weather (this Sunday it worsens again).

Royal Portrush Dunluce Golf Course – Hole 14

If this Saturday, on the third day of competition, Lowry neutralized the leader of the first two days, the American JB Holmes, on Sunday the Irishman sailed the same wind that knocked down his rivals to become strong on his island with a final score of -15, six strokes behind the second, the Englishman Tommy Fleetwood.
